Article selection

An article is selected for a project when it passes the evaluation process based on :

  1. firstly on the title and the summary;
  2. secondly, on the reading of the full text.

To start or continue screening articles, click on Title and abstract screening.

You will see the evolution of the project. Then click on Continue.

Voting

On evaluation, a choice is made for each item from among the following options : 

  • YES
  • NO
  • MAYBE

Title and abstract screening

Depending on the number of reviewers chosen when setting up your review, here is how the votes are processed :

1 reviewer
  • 1 vote YES ==> the article is relevant, it goes to the Full text review stage
  • 1 vote NO ==> the article is Irrelevant
  • 1 vote Maybe ==> conflict management. The person designated in the settings to resolve conflicts will have the final vote
2 reviewers
  • 2 votes YES ==> the article is relevant, it goes to the Full text review stage
  • 1 vote YES + 1 vote Maybe ==> the article is relevant, it goes to the Full text review stage
  • 2 votes NO ==> the article is Irrelevant
  • 1 vote YES + 1 vote NO  ==> conflict management. The person designated in the settings to resolve conflicts will have the final vote
  • 1 vote NO + 1 vote Maybe ==> conflict management. The person designated in the settings to resolve conflicts will have the final vote

Full text review

The evaluation of articles based on the full text will proceed in the same way as for the selection based on the title and abstract. However, you will need to select a reason to justify an excluded article.


Conflicts

The person designated to resolve conflicts will see the Conflicts link at the top of the Title an abstract screening window. By clicking on this link, they will be able to vote. This vote is final.
